How it Works

You already know that our Sacramento recycling program can be a great way for you to raise money for your cause. But it is important that you understand what the program can do for you and what you need to do to get started.

First, you will need to fill out an application in its entirety and include information on your cause and whether or not there is an anticipated end date or this is an ongoing fundraising campaign. Please try to be as detailed as possible.

Next, one of our staff will contact you for an over the phone interview to answer any questions you may have as well fill in any additional information we may need. If for some reason you are declined, you will be notified by email with a reason.

Once you have been approved you will be among the options that people signing up will be able to choose from during the full term of your fundraising timeline. In addition you will be given access to a section of SIA where you can access marketing materials that you can use to further assist your fundraising effort.

As you receive your payments for your fundraiser you will get a detailed breakdown showing where each dollar came from. This will allow you to thank each person for their contribution as well as send them final paperwork for tax purposes if needed.
