So how did we start our Sacramento recycling fundraising program? This question gets asked to us on a regular basis and we actually enjoy sharing it.
We were still in the process of building our recycling program when one of our new customers approached us. They had several teens within their group who wanted to go on a retreat but were not financially able to do so. They wanted to know if they could ask people to sign up and donate the money they would otherwise get on their recycling to the group to help close the financial gap.
We saw no reason why not and so gave them signup sheets. The benefit for us was that they were helping to spread the word throughout Sacramento about our recycling program. We also enjoyed being able to help kids who otherwise would miss out on something they wanted to do.
Well the results were more than we ever thought could happen. Within a few months they had not only raised enough money for the kids to get to go on the trip, but all the kids who needed it were able to go for free.
When we heard about that success our entire team worked hard to develop a Sacramento fundraising and recycling program that would help groups raise money on a continual basis. We worked for several months developing the program for picking up recyclable items such as cans, bottles, and even milk jugs.
So now our Sacramento fundraising and recycling program has helped a growing number of people, groups, and organizations raise much needed funding while helping the environment and economy.
