How It Works

Our Sacramento recycling courier program is pretty easy, in all honesty. You register here on the website. If we have a route currently active in your neighborhood, you will quickly be added. You will be contacted by phone the day before to let you know you have been added. You may receive a yellow bag, a welcome letter with some details and reminders about the program, and a route calendar for your convenience. Every two weeks after that, we come by your house to collect your recyclables, replacing the bags you left us (if we can). We will call you the day before to remind you, since the route day we schedule often has absolutely nothing to do with your regularly scheduled municipal garbage pick-up day. We then bring your recyclables back to our facility where it is sorted, and that which we pay you for is then weighed and recorded. Once you have accumulated at least $15.00 in recyclables, we mail you out a check in the beginning of the next month. It is as simple as that. You can log back into our website to find out your account tally.

If, when you sign up, there is not currently an active route in your neighborhood, we will send you an e-mail to inform you. Spread the word! Let your neighbors know about us and urge them to sign up as well. When we have enough people in your neighborhood who sign up, we can start the new route. When that happens, we will contact you and let you know your pick up dates.

In addition we will soon send you our newsletters on additional items you can recycle, money saving tips, and other information that will help you and the environment.

So as you can see, it’s simple, doesn’t require anything additional on your part after you register, and you save time, effort, and the environment while getting yourself back some much needed money in this tight environment.
